5308 Russell Ave S Minneapolis, MN 55410

Listing details for 5308 Russell Ave S, Minneapolis, MN 55410 : One can see why Midwest Home was eager to feature this beauty: a home like this is what happens when love and architecture connect. The owner's beloved childhood home was in need of repairs and renovation, and instead of abandoning it, he chose to remake it instead. In keeping with the neighborhood, but with the goal of highlighting Minnehaha Creek, this home is now a delight to the senses, a masterpiece of design, as well as a luxurious retreat. Two massive bluestone fireplaces and a wealth of Douglas fir timber beams and balusters ground the space, without competing with the creek and its surrounding woods. The high-end custom kitchen is a fantasy of granite, stainless steel, soapstone and silver lapis. But there's cohesiveness throughout, including the master bedroom and spa-quality master bath. While this home feels as though it belongs to a distant suburb, it's actually less than two miles from 35W, and deliciously close to the neighborhood's very best eateries.
