106 1st St SW New Prague, MN 56071

Listing details for 106 1st St SW, New Prague, MN 56071 : Own a piece of New Prague’s history! This 1905 home was built out of the original schoolhouse that sat on 3 lots. The railing to the second floor is the original crafted railing from the school. The seller was a craftsman & cabinet maker and recreated the front staircase to match the original railing. Pride of ownership is evident with many built-ins. Most of the foundation was replaced in 1978 with additions & remodeling throughout the years. The sellers are the second owners of the property. JW Komarek bought the school & in 1962 the current sellers took ownership. There are 2 staircases to the basement (one at the front entrance & one in back). The back & front entrances & staircases have been added as well as the 3 season back porch finished in tongue & groove pine. Kitchen walls were removed & windows added as well. Bayed windows in formal dining room, den off kitchen + a spacious living room and 2 amusement rooms in the basement. There’s a bath on each level too.
